1.Do not drink water before and soon
after taking meal. Always take while having meal.
2.Do not eat curd at night specially if
you are prone to cough and cold. Always take it after lunch.
3.Eating fruits right after a meal is
not a good idea. The best time to eat fruits is first thing in the morning
after a glass of water.
4.Habit to eat green leafy vegetables
in regular basis (At least once a day).
5.The recommended maximum intake of
caffeinated teas is not more than 4-5 cups serving/day. However, herbal tea is
a safe way of drinking 6-8 cups of tea/day.
6.Do not watch TV While you are having
meal.
7.After taking heavy meal try to walk
at least for 10-15 minutes.
8.Drink 3-4 lit water/day.
9.Take small amount of food frequently
instead of taking a large amount of food at a time.
10.Take
smaller bites of food to begin with (it’s easier to chew smaller morsels) chew
slowly and steadily. Finish chewing and swallowing completely before taking
another bite of food. Stop eating before you feel full. It actually takes a few
minutes for your brain to tell your body that it has had enough food, so eat
slowly.
